Seriously? Another Batman Reboot?

Yeah, you didn't read that wrong. They're planning a yet another reboot to the Batman franchise, while The Dark Knight Rises [2012] is still in its production stages. Don't get me wrong, we all love people who constantly look forward and always plan ahead, but this is getting ridiculous.

Where are they going after this, I can't for the life of me figure out just yet. And if you think that this is a rumour or something like a past due April Fool joke, it's not. This came straight from the President of Warner Bros. motion picture group, Jeff Rubinov. The only good news thus far is that Christopher Nolan will retain creative control of the upcoming movies, but still I wouldn't hold my breath; film-makers and studio heads part ways all the time in the event of creative differences, which might happen to this new reboot.

The primary motivation for this - aside from Christopher Nolan's Batman movies being a major cash-cow - is apparently to pave way for the Batman character to fit into the upcoming 2013 superhero orgy movie entitled Justice League: Mortal.

Frankly I don't care all that much about the lesser superhero movies, I can only hope that the reboot will not leave a bad taste in our mouth. We all know what happened the last time they gave the franchise a reboot.

They gave us Batman, Robin... and nipples.
